To a Friend

To share time with friends
is a treasure so rare,
Like a walk near the stream
with 'nary a care...
To feel of that love
and to be outside
are the blessings from above
that I dare not deny...
As I walk this earth
and my days grow old,
my memories of you
I will polish like gold.
